Through the materials of nature, trees, and sea raw things, Lee Jieun fills the longing and desire that cannot be reached in reality with a piece of work. The world in the painting, which is increasingly full of tranquility and tranquility away from the tension of everyday life, is organically connected to the present that lasts forever as if time and space are stationary. On the canvas, where words such as sadness, lethargy, and incompleteness have disappeared, the freedom and desire to do nothing continue to be filled and repeated with the characters and objects in the painting. The work is embodied through a heterogeneous combination of ideals and reality that is familiar with unfamiliarity. When the ordinary daily landscape is replaced by unfamiliarity, the audience encounters an oasis that they encounter while wandering in the desert, escaping from reality. The new form of time and space that the artist has built is filled with meditation that modern people crave and desire so much, and will soon lead us to a cozy calm.
