Choi Joo-yeol, who expresses the inner story with painting and media art using the artist's free formative language, expresses the secret inner story of the abyss with drawings and symbols through this exhibition. His free artistic worldview and his pictorial composition through brush touch, which began his work in New York, break the boundaries of perception across abstractions and ideas. The impromptu airbrush touch shown in this new work builds an experimental and sensuous world of painting. Through various materials, the artist's rich imagination and sensitivity are expressed freely regardless of one genre, and the materials naturally communicate with the audience with their own stories. I hope you can find your inner self in his works that transform and break away from your unconscious existence.

Tiggy Ticehurst presents new works that delightfully reconstruct images of media icons, luxury brands, and famous paintings that we are familiar with in our own humorous way. The familiar figures are vividly embodied using acrylic, and the appearance of being placed as if dizzy and even the exaggerated appearance are drawn without any decoration, giving a sense of vitality. The artist draws the audience's attention into his energetic work by interestingly harmonizing three elements: witty drawing, bold color, interesting black comedy.

Through this exhibition, I would like to feel the intersection of the two artists through different brush strokes and gestures in the fascinating world of works that seem to move between reality and unconsciousness and line and side. Please look at the world of the two artists' works, which have looked at the essence from a new perspective and explored expression in their own way, from the image and artistic stereotypes that come from the outside.

내면적 이야기를 작가만의 자유로운 조형 언어를 이용해 페인팅과 미디어아트로 표현하는 최주열은 이번 전시를 통해 심연의 비밀스러운 내면의 이야기를 도상과 기호로 표현합니다. 뉴욕에서 작품 활동을 시작한 그의 자유로운 예술 세계관과 붓 터치를 통한 회화적인 구성은 추상과 구상을 넘나들며 인식의 경계를 허뭅니다. 이번 신작에서 보여지는 즉흥적인 에어브러셔 터치는 실험적이면서도 감각적인 그림 세계를 구축합니다. 다채로운 소재들을 통해 작가의 풍부한 상상력과 감수성이 하나의 장르에 구애받지 않고 마음껏 표출되어 있고, 소재들은 저마다의 이야기로 자연스럽게 관객과 소통하고 있습니다. 무의식 속 존재를 변형하고 탈피한 그의 작품들 속에서 내면의 자아를 발견할 수 있기를 바랍니다.

Tiggy Ticehurst는 우리에게 친숙한 대중매체 아이콘, 명품 브랜드, 명화들의 이미지들을 자신만의 해학적인 방식으로 유쾌하게 재구성하는 작업들을 새롭게 선보입니다. 익숙한 형상들을 아크릴을 이용하여 생동감 있게 구현해 내며 어지러운 듯 놓아져 있는 모습과 과장된 모습마저도 꾸밈없이 그려져 있어 더한 생동감이 전해집니다. 작가는 위트 있는 드로잉, 대담한 색채, 블랙 코미디 이 세 요소들을 흥미롭게 조화시켜 관람객들의 시선을 에너지 넘치는 그의 작품 속으로 이끕니다.

본 전시를 통해 현실과 무의식, 선과 면의 경계를 오가며 화면을 일렁이는 듯한 매혹적인 작품 세계에서 각기 다른 붓질과 몸짓을 통해 두 작가의 교차점을 느껴보고자 합니다. 이처럼 새로운 관점에서 본질을 바라보고 자기만의 방법으로 표현을 탐구해온 두 작가의 작품세계를 외형적인 것에서 오는 이미지, 예술적인 고정관념에서 벗어나 새로운 관점에서 조망해 보시기 바랍니다.
