SUPERPOSITION is a collaborative project between product designer Seo Jung-sun and graphic designer Kim Jong-min. The name “SUPERPOSITION” reflects the concept of two waves overlapping without losing their unique properties, symbolizing the merging of distinct influences in their work. This team creates furniture, accessories, and frames that are both unique and conceptually rich.

Their works often evoke traditional Korean crafts, like ceramics, folding screens, and soban (traditional Korean trays), but with a twist. SUPERPOSITION reinterprets these objects, blending classical roots with a restrained modern aesthetic. Their creations showcase a harmonious fusion of Eastern and Western elements, resulting in a distinctive synergy that redefines these age-old forms through a contemporary lens. The pieces are not just objects but explorations of how heritage and modernity can coexist and complement each other, producing something entirely new yet deeply familiar.

SUPERPOSITION은 제품 디자이너 서정선과 그래픽 디자이너 김종민의 협업 프로젝트로, 두 파동이 고유한 성질을 잃지 않고 중첩되는 개념에서 이름을 따왔다. 이들은 독창적이고 개념이 돋보이는 가구, 소품, 액자를 제작하며 전통과 현대적 감각을 결합한 작품을 선보이고 있다.

이들의 작품은 도자기, 병풍, 소반 같은 전통 한국 공예품을 떠올리게 하지만, SUPERPOSITION은 이를 재해석하여 클래식한 뿌리와 절제된 현대적 이미지를 결합해 독특한 시너지를 만들어낸다. 동양과 서양의 요소가 조화를 이루며 새로운 미감을 창출하는 이들의 작품은 단순한 오브젝트를 넘어, 전통과 현대가 공존하고 서로를 보완할 수 있음을 보여주는 탐구의 결과물이다.
